We're Back!

You know those safety straps on grocery carts that you can cinch down to keep your little one in their seat? Biruk managed to turn himself around, stand up in the seat, and then flip himself upside down into the back of the cart, all while still strapped in. In this photo, I am having him recreate the scene for posterity.

We're doing great! We seem to have hit a major milestone with the bonding stuff, and we see lots of signs that Biruk is much more attached to us now. And us to him, too!

The last six weeks have been a doozy, from some serious burn out from ol' attachment process to the H1N1 virus hitting the entire family. Definitely lots of material for good blog posts, which I hope to get out in small chunks. But a major change for me (Christine) is that I am being utterly broken of my night owl tendencies, and just can't go to bed early enough these days. It's so weird. It's almost as if having three kids ages 2 to 7 is just too much for this 40-something body. I'll try not to let it interfere with blogging anymore, but if I don't write at 10pm, when am I going to do it?!?
